Project Description         :

 

Supply the expertise, materials, labor and equipment necessary to design and construct improvements to the electric power infrastructure of the Taji Base, Iraq. The Work involved electrical, mechanical, and civil elements.

All new underground and overhead lines were installed in accordance with all applicable MOE codes and standards.

The work involved:

Supply and install New 11,000 Volt, 7,600 KVA, 3-phase overhead Power Distribution Network. Main line is 5,600m with three Spurs and 16 transformer Taps. The Lines were be bare aluminum steel reinforced conductors, ACSR installed on a 11m steel poles, not exceeding 40m spans, with steel cross arms and bracing. There were three properly sized phase conductors and one overhead grounding conductor. The poles were installed in a concrete cylindrical foundation footing. Insulators were of porcelain type.

Supply and install new 11 KV, 3 phase OHPL Conductor ACSR installed 1,132 m of new 19m towers, not exceeding 50m apart, 3 phase and earth wire of same specs. Porcelain insulators, foundation of 1.2m X 1.2m with tower legs being 1.2m deep. Full fitting & accessories with connections.

Supply and install 16 x transformer 650 KVA 11,000-volt Delta to 400 volts Wye, 4 wire secondary Pad mount transformers, include one 500 Amp 2 Sets (4-240mm2 + 70MM2 G) service conductor. Terminate Service conductors in each building's MCB.

Supply and install 115 x Roadway style 400-Watt 400/230 volt, Sodium light fixtures and Lamps, on each pole along the 4600m Roadway. Mount fixtures, supply transformers and conductors on the 11KV installed poles.

Fully test and commission the complete system.
